Lake Simcoe watershed, Ontario – May 5, 2025 – The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority is seeking watershed-wide nominations for the 43rd Annual Conservation Awards.

Last year, we proudly acknowledged the efforts of 22 outstanding individuals and groups across the Lake Simcoe watershed. Their activities included ecological restoration, stormwater management, wildlife habitat restoration, community tree plantings, and initiatives improving communities and protecting waterways.

“Environmental challenges and climate change impacts in our watershed continue to grow each year. Yet, every year, we are inspired by the drive, dedication, and passion of those who step up to make a positive impact and improve their local environment,” says Katarina Zeppieri, the Conservation Authority’s communications advisor. “We are so proud to celebrate these incredible environmental heroes and recognize their unwavering efforts.”

If you know someone making extraordinary contributions to the health of the Lake Simcoe watershed, we encourage you to nominate them. The process is easy. Visit www.LSRCA.on.ca/conservationawards for the award nomination form and the eligibility criteria.

The deadline for nomination is June 5, 2025.
