Event Details

On Saturday, May 13th Neighbourhood Network is hosting our annual Spring Tree Planting event!

Volunteers are needed to help plant trees, mulch plants, and clean up garbage. High school students can earn Community Involvement/Christian Community Service hours.

Pre-registration for all volunteers is required. Choose which of the three planting locations you would like to volunteer at and submit your form to register. Volunteers of all ages are welcome!

Note, this event is rain, snow, or shine! Please dress according to weather and ensure you bring closed toed boots/shoes, warm coat, and your own gardening gloves. We also encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle to eliminate waste.

Planting Site Locations:

This year, we will be planting at three locations:

  • East Gwillimbury: Radial Line Park, 981 Murrell Blvd. (off Mt. Albert Rd.) – Location Full
  • King Township: Schomberg Community Farm, 6335 Highway 9 (off Western Ave.)
  • Newmarket: Magna Centre, 800 Mulock Dr. (trail behind Nellie Little Cres.) – Location Full
